Just put a new alt on my 1992 Nissan Maxima GXE and the car won't stay running as soon as you turn on the Ac the radio go's out the and the ac starts cycling on and off and the car dies
Charge up the battery first. If the battery won't take a charge, then it's time for a new battery.

lol, i think it is that your dimmer switch is all the way down or bad. as simple as it seems, that is really what it sounds like. try messing with it.
Check your iac idle air control valve they have a habit of building up carbon just at the opening where the valve seats the housing! If no signs of carbon build up then check your exhaust gas recirculation valve! Somewhere there could also be a major vacuum leak or a hose disconnected! If none of those conditions are the culprit then your ignition switch may need to be replaced but first make sure it isn't engine components! You could have not connected the wires securely and only powering the ignition control module when in the crank position of the key! I hope this helps you out!
