Ouch for that old a bike your going to have to play detective, some one could have monkeyed around with the wiring. If the fuses are all good, just start checking the connections on and the wiring...good luck

sounds to me that you have an igniton problem not a starter problem and or if you have or had an alarm system could be cause if u do give me feedback and i will explain but seems that your starter is fine from what u say but if you think in terms of the elemts to start a vehicle batery gives pwoer to ignition which sends to starter which gives spark etc i would check you ignition system something is causeing a short and not alowing starter to function

Have you checked the starter solenoid. Your battery + cable connects to this then + cable runs from it to your starter. You also have an ignition switch wire connected to this. Just follow your cable from the battery and it will lead you right to the part. Some times these will break inside or the contacts go bad inside and therefore you will not get power to start the engine, but you will have power to turn on lights or whatever other accessories. The part is about $15

Check if you left out one cable when installing the starter motor. Are the fusible links okay? Maybe one broke. Also is the car properly grounded?

Only thing it could have been in the first place is the wire from the switch to the starter is disconnected from the starter. Even a new switch won't fix that. Just get under the car and plug the wire back onto the spade connector.

fuse 19, 80amps engine bay fuse box. bam?
are the head lights dead, they work all the time, even keys in pockets.
are they part of nothing.
then... that means... fuse 19 is bad.
open the fuse box in the engine bay see those.
they will all be dead, and 19 toast.
i just use a voltemeter to find which are blown.
starting there, then working to the cab box.

When battery fuse blew, the battery would not charge off the charging system, and would require a second vehicle 'jump-start'.
This would be the next simplest thing to checkout.

Put new battery in a month ago, now when i turn key on nothing happens, no dash indicator lights come and nothing happens when key is turned on

Possible errors are either incomplete or non-load generator ground connections between the engine and car body.
