Question about 2000 Yamaha V Star 1100 Classic
Once hot, the engine revs up extremely high making traffic lights and stop signs interesting moments. Slightly engaging the clutch will pull the engine back to a more normal idle. I have no tach, but I would estimate the engine is revving to 3500-4000 rpm without any throttle at all. I'm gonna burn up an engine or a clutch or both if I don't get this solved. HELP!
Could be a lot of things. sounds minly like you need a valve adjustment. could also be a carb issue or an air leak around the carbs ( carb boots not on all the way or cracked).
