You might check to see if the carbs were syncronized. They sell a tool for this, or take it to a shop for this to be done. It might also be a clogged jet.

1989 Suzuki GSX 750 F that won't idle below 3000 rpm

Hi, Suzuki #5 is jumping up and down waving the Suzuki flag screaming "pick me pick me" and the usual suspects are:
1. Throttle cables improperly adjusted, pinched or need lubrication.
2. Idle adjusting screw needs to be backed off.
4. Air fuel mixture adjusted too lean start with 2 full turns.
5. Intake system air leak, check intake boots with propane
6. Fast idle choke ramp is not releasing.
7. Broken throttle return spring.
8. Damaged diaphragm or slide.
9. Faulty MAP, TPS, ATS, O2, sensors or wiring/connector.
10. Multiple carburetors not in sync.

Idle problem integra

check the MAP sensor (manifold absolute pressure). The ECM (car computer) uses that to keep idle at minimum 750 RPM. It's normal for it to run high when cold. These small 4 banger motors typically run hot, and they won't run right IF they're NOT running hot, ergo the idle is usually high when it is cold so as to cause it to warm up quicker. If the RPM's drop below 750, suspect the MAP sensor, &/or ECM.

Idles low and ruff with a slight miss, but not sure where to adjust the idle at.

The idle adjust screw is usually accessed from under the carbs, usually in between the #2 & #3 carbs. Start the bike and rotate the head of the Screw/Bolt/Knerled adjuster one way until the idle revschange, if the speed decreases, turn it the other way until the idle RPM is where you want it.

What should the idle speed be set at on a 1989 jeep wrangler 4.2 liter straight 6 cyl. It has a 2bbl carb. It idles at 1000 rpm right now but seems fast or is that about right?

Most carb. engines should idle between 725 and 750 R.P.M., lower the idle and be sure to check the timing. You should have an emissions label under the hood to explain the idle and timing.

Hi, I have a 1981 GS1000GL, I am having trouble setting the idle adjustment, I can set the idle adjustment so the bike idles but when I take the bike out on the highway a few miles & come to a stop,...

This sounds like an air leak ahead of the carbs. Air that hasn't gone through the carbs is leaning the fuel/air mixture. Cracked rubber fittings, "O" ring seals, gaskets, and clamps between the carbs and the cylinder may not be sealing well enough. Note that a bad head gasket, bad valves or loose spark plug can also let air enter. The problem will get worse as time goes by. Do a compression check to check the valves.. Burned valves and cracked rubber seals are normally the culprits. Usually, all the valves need is to be re-lapped to provide a fresh face on the valve and valve seat. 83 virago 750 under 3500 rpm runs bad. over 3500 runs good

hi,says here you had the carbs redone,it sounds to me like the carbs were not rebalanced after installation,if you do any work at all ocn carbs it is quite important that the carbs be properly rebalanced,it only takes very minor adjustments inside carbs(even a scratch on a jet)or different torque settings on screws etc will trow the balance out,if you get this done i think your problem will disappear..hope this helps
