Hi, Marcos for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Yamaha, despair not, for a mere $0 you can download another one. When I pull my clutch in on my yfz 450 it's not engaging it has a brand new cable and lever an a Henson racing clutch on it can anyone help me out here?

When you PULL the clutch lever in, it DISENGAGES the clutch separating the engine drive to the gears.

There are adjustments on the clutch bearing itself and then in the cable. The cable should have about an eighth to a quarter inch of free play at the lever.

I have a 2004 Yamaha YFZ 450 the bike will start and drive but as soon as it warms up when you push the throttle it starts to cut out... What is the problem?

There is not really enough info in your post to narrow down the problem. Hesitation during acceleration can either be fuel related or ignition timing related. Once up to speed, will it maintain that speed smoothly?

If you have a timing light, check the timing at idle. If it is OK, then it is probably fuel related.

Assuming you have not messed with the ignition timing, if it idles, but won't accelerate, it is probably starved for fuel. 1.Check/change the fuel filter- easy and cheap
2. pull the fuel line off the carb, and make sure fuel flows from the tank freely.
3. If there is good fuel flow to the carbs, pull the carbs and clean them.

I have a 2004 yfz 450 that wont idle, not sure why anymore

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Idle circuit and transfer ports clogged.
2. Air fuel mixture adjustment too lean.
3. Pilot jet clogged.
4. Faulty accelerator pump.
5. Float level too low.
6. Float bowl contaminated old fuel, water, dirt, rust, etc.
7. Float bowl vent or overflow tube clogged.
8. Fuel flow to carburetor restricted.
9. Intake manifold leak.

04 yfz 450 wont start with electrical start

i have a 04 yfz 450 quad. the compression ratio like yours is extremely high. ive had my battery go bad and found that another battery other than factory would turn over the engine, but would not start. i paid the 100 dollars for the factory battery and it fired right up. because of the high compression you need a high cranking battery.
