The drain plug is located at the center of the bottom of the engine case. Check here for filter options:
www.vulcanforums.com

I would recommend the longer filters for additional filter element surface, but you should be able to find a quality option at any auto parts store. Double check to make sure the old filter gasket does not stick to the engine case. The capacity is 3 U.S. quarts for a change w/filter, and 2.8 quarts without. Refill at the slotted cap on the left side case- if you do not want to scratch up the cover by using a screwdriver on the cap, find a large washer that fits in the slot tightly and use a screwdriver for leverage to open it. When reinstalling, hand tight is good enough.

hello should be small cover on gear shift side of case with 3-4 screws in it , oil filter is behind cover, not many fluids to change on this bike unless it is automatic, also there is big screw in bottom of motor to drain oil.
