The lever shifts up into high and low but won't go to reverse or park

Be sure you have the rear brake pressed as far as it will go when you shift to reverse

Check to see if one of the shifter rods behind the side pannel are bent.this usually happens due to lack of lube end people try to force it into gear.

My 2005 Polaris sportsman 700 efi has a shift lever problem. It says in low where the high position should be. is it stripped or is there a way to adjust it?

your shift linkage could be out of adjustment. the two rods that run to your transmission. try disconnecting one and see if it shift *(without the engine running), then do the same thing for the other. if it shift into high without the low gear shift linkage disconnected, then they are out of adjustment.

What would cause a suzuki king quad that has a 3 spd. sub. trans. with high, low, and super low to be locked in high and when you try to shift from neutral to 1st it kills the engine like the trans. i

Verify that the shift cables are making a complete shift at the tranny, if the cable has failed or stretched, it may not be shifting completely. Most Suzuki King Quads have a metal shift rod on the left side which select low high and super low. And also have a shift lever on top. The vin number is usually located on the rear uprights behind the seat. Also there is usually a date stamped on the seat itself that may help.
