I got a 2002 Honda 954 drove it to buddys house bike was running fine turned it off now no crank replaced battery still no crank checked all fuses all are good got power to relay but nothing coming out bench tested relay works fine
SOURCE: bike will not start no power
Touch a 12" piece of wire to one terminal then touch the other end of the wire to the other terminal. Got a really good spark? No spark = bad battery. Okay, so you do get a good spark. Check the wiring harness for an unplugged wire. Also check for loose connections and burned wires. Bad ignition switch? Kill switch turned on?

hello and welcome
as i understand the vtx cranks but does not start. a good place i would start to look is the spark plugs. first you can verify that the plugs are not blackened over and wet. this would happen from fouling. with the vtx not turning over properly with the old weak battery alot of fuel was used in the cylinders and possibly fouled them out. ive seen that be a very popular problem. the other it to check for spark if the plugs appear to be fine. this can determine if something was faulted in the ignition.

If you can hear the starter run, but no motor turning, the starter clutch is going bad. It is what allows the motor to turn over with the starter, and it idles while the bike is running.
SOURCE: honda motorcycle fuel pump not working
check your key it has a chip in side it and it may be faulty try your spear and i know it sounds silly but just make sure your kill switch is set to run check the hiss fuse under the seat also swap your fuel pump relay with the fan one the fuel pump relay has brown wires going to it and the fan has black and blue if you have an alarm on it it will be worth checking that make sure that the fuel pump is pluged in under the tank take a look at the hiss light does it go out wen the bike is switched on if it stays on you have a HISS problem any problems let me know and i will do my best to help
