Abs light on 1999 mercury sable

Hesitation problems can be caused by a number of thing's on vehicle's with electronic fuel injection , not like the old days of carburetors where most likely it had a bad accelerator pump . Throttle position sensors (TPS) can get a worn spot that would act just like a bad accelerator pump . MAF sensors (mass air flow ) Can also cause Hesitation plus ruff running , bad fuel economy , a IAT sensor ,(intake air temp ) ECT - engine coolant temp. sensor can also cause this problem . Unless you want to replace all these parts i suggest you have it diagnosed by a qualified repair shop that has the electronic diagnostic tool to test it .
ABS light on , DTC- diagnostic trouble code could be set in the EBCM - electronic brake control module . could be a wheel speed sensor getting ready to fail .

GM is good for hesitation after a while. Some thing you can do, all it takes is a flat screw driver,. Get a can of brake clean. remove the mass air flow sensor, it is the one the in between the air filter and engine, big sensor. There is a tube/prong in the middle of it , spray this on both sides, This doesn't take much. Then remove the tube that is connected to the engine/ throttle body. Use a tooth brush and clean the inside of this, open the throttle plate and clean the back of it and down inside as much as you can. Start the truck, this will take a second or two. Rev it up and spray some more into the throttle body. This helps alot for hesitation on all of the GM or Chevy Engines. Let me know Randy

It been hesitating and yes i've ran out of gas a few times

It could be a lot of different things. It could need a good tune up. A fuel filter. Or it could be a little more involved like the fuel pump. You said that you have ran it out of gas a few times, believe it or not but the fuel pump gets cooled off by the gas in your gas tank. If running out of gas is a common occurrence for you the pump could have gotten too hot overheated and now is showing signs of failure. The first thing I would do is check the spark plugs and possibly replace them. That is going to be the cheapest route. If not then it could get more involved. Good luck!

Major hesitation at cold idle, car accelerates at a slow pace, hesitation also appears when in passing gear. replaced fuel filter 2 months ago

symtoms of a bad coolant sensor: poor car idle, rich mixture, retarded timing, slow idle speed, cold hesitation or stumble, poor fuel milage, check and make sure air filter is clean. and check plugs and wires if need be,

My 2001 galant hesitates on acceleration. changes plugs oil air filter etc.. any thoughts?

a faulty tps sensor will cause hesitation on acceleration.also a loose or broken place in air duct to throttle body will cause hesitation.also clogged fuel injectors and fuel save money have car scanned.if you have a faulty tps.the scanner will tell you.

I have hesitation on my 95\gmc \Pickup\ 5.0 Litre

you need three things for you engine to work right.Air fuel and spark. The timing could be off,the fuel filter may need to be changed, and your throttle body could need cleaning.
