Don't forget to change the oil filter at the same time. On your bike this is an internal filter element. This is also located under the engine and will require you to remove another 17mm bolt which goes through the centre of a round metal cover. The new filter should be soaked in oil prior to installing. There will be a round black rubber sealing gasket which runs around the cover. Make sure it is sitting correctly in its groove when installing.
Assembly in reverse order.

First of all let the engine run for at least 15 mins to warm up at the running temperature. Then turn it off and let it set for 10 mins. The reason is when the oil is hot it becomes thinner and 98% of the oil will drain. Now find the lowest part of the engine and there should be a bolt of spanner or socket 17mm or 19mm. Take it out and the oil will drain. let the oil drain for 10 mins and put the bolt back in, Tight it well and pour the oil from the top oil cap.

SOURCE: any ideas how to de restrict hyosung gv650 or

The most common way is move the throttle cable from position one to position two. Check to see if this method will work for you by watching the throttle mechanism at the engine while an assistant turns the throttle (engine not running). When the assistant can turn the handle no farther, see if you can push the mechanism open farther with your finger or a screwdriver. If you can, then you will be able to derestrict the bike by repositioning the cable.

No Display Lights on Hyosung GV650

i know this may seem drastic
but in my experience i have found that the Chinese electric connectors are normally at fault
first thing i would do is chop the connection block out and either put your own bullet connectors in
or solder the wires together
either way it is the connector at fault and needs replacing

I have a 2010 hyosung GV650 Aquila, battery wont hold charge, FI light comes on and bike stalls.

sounds like stator and/or voltage regulator has had it. hard to say which one. i would first check that there is sufficient voltage over all 3 phases coming into the regulator and then the regulator post exit voltage.

these bikes run on wet clutch plates the grade of oil must not be the right on if the oil is ok then there must be a problem with the oil pump not working once it gets hot
