I've definitely tried many do it yourself fixes, and sometimes I think the best way to go is just to go to an auto body shop. I once owned a car that got hit by someone when I parked it at a lot and looked up all types of crazy ways to fix it. I've noticed that really the most efficient way would be a auto body shop, you should get look into getting a quote. How bad would you consider the dent to be? http://www.collision1.com/

Depends on how deep the dent is, is it a sharp crease, has the paint cracked in or near the dent? There are kits available that can pop out a simple dent, but not a more severe dent. You can Google paintless dent removal to see the kits and where to get one.

you would need to heat it up from behind to remove the dent and the rubbing compound should work as long as it hasnt penetrated your paint layer

SOURCE: need to remove back door panel

first buy a tool from cdn tire or an auto store call "door panel trim pad" ....looks like a large bent screwdriver with a groove on the end ...this will allow you to successfully remove the 4 panel pins you will see after you take off the handle strap mechanism and the two rubber stabilizers on either side of the liftgate...then carefully pry back the panel on the side and you will see the first set of pins ...one per side ....wiggle the pad trim remover in so that it engages the pin above the moulded post on the inside of the panel and prey up on the tool...like a hammer removing a nail ...shouldn't have too much problem getting these off ...further up the panel again going in from the side you will see the other pins ...same procedure ....now all that is left are 5 snap in moulded tabs(part of the actual panel itself ...one on each side of the window frame position of the panel about halfway up the window ...use the tool again as a lever and they will come out easily ...hold on to the panel carefully as the remaining 3 tabs are in top of the frame portion of the panel and not much is supporting the panel now except you...they disengage pretty easily as well ...now the panel is off ...while you are in there put some extra padding on the speakers by dropping them down and putting 1/4 in foam tape on the inside lip of the speaker rim ...these rattle in cold weather ...when you are putting the panel back start with the top 3 tabs and the the 2 side tabs ,one side after the other ...then the panel will support itself while you direct the sabre ends on the pin fasteners into the holes in the metal door ...used my head to snap them in position ...then reinstall the stabilizer rubbers and the back strap ....hope it goes well ...nothing to be worried about after i did it once ,,,David Little Toronto

SOURCE: Toyota Sienna bumper dent

These vans have a styrofoam bumper wrapped in semi-rigid plastic. When you dented the bumper you probably dented the styrofoam as well, so depending on how deep the dent is you may not be able to bring it back to normal.

The surest way to fix the dent would be to remove the bumper by unbolting it, then taking out the styrofoam and pushing out the dent.

SOURCE: back door panel removal

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls

How can I fix a dent on the side of my car?

It depends a lot on the area the dent is in, the size and if the paint is cracked, damaged or scraped off. If the dent is on a body line, its going to take a lot more to fix it, if its in an open flat area without any sharp creases, you can many times do some paintless dent repair and bend it back into shape. This is the least expensive method.

If its a fender that can be removed, many shops now get a replacement fender and paint it to match. When you match paint, you generally need to blend the surrounding fenders/hood/body to get it to look right. There is a lot of skill involved with paint matching and the application of paint. Unless you have a shop and the equipment to spray it, you would need to get someone with experience to apply the paint so it looks right.

The 3rd option to repair the dent is to get a body hammer set, with a dolly/flat hammer etc and pound the dent as close to its original position as possible, then use a body filler and sand it. This part could save you money if you want to choose and have someone paint it. Or if its an old car, you could have the paint matched with the car and put in an aerosol can where you could spray it on yourself. Its not going to be perfect by a long shot, but certainly better than a big ugly dent thats been repaired and primered

Hi. How can I pull a deep dent out of an A-piller on a double skin without a dent puller or the right tools

You probably can't. A-pillars are made tough and if it is much of a dent at all you are looking at getting spot welding a stud to pull it with a slide hammer. If it is a light dent and does not have a sharp crease there is a slight chance a hot glue tab might get it. That would be your only hope without painting. you do not want to drill an access hole from the backside as this will jeopardize the structural integrity.

Rear passenger side got dent how do i replace it

Joko,
You are not very clear on exactly where the dent is. The area behind the side door is called a "quarter panel". These parts are not easily replaced, as they are a welded, structural member of the car's structure. Replacement requires specialized cutting and welding tools, normally only found in auto body shops. If the dent is not to bad, you could try removing the interior plastic trim panels and pushing outward to remove the dent.
Providing that the paint is not damaged and there is not an actual crease in the quarter panel [commonly referred to as a "pop" dent] I would suggest contacting a DENT WIZARD company. They will come to your house and fix the dent, using specialized tools and skills. Do a Google search for PAINTLESS DENT REPAIR including your geographic location in the search to find local companies who can do this work. It's much cheaper than taking the vehicle to an auto body shop.

i would have to estimate at least 500 dollars for a skin depending on the shop and the quality of paint you use.

I have a small dent on my Audi A4 2006 Avant. Can

This depends greatly on the depth of the dent.If it is somewhere in the area of 1/8 inch deep you might be able to Bondo it and seal and paint it. But, if it is any deeper than this anything less than a bodyshop repair will look very noticable. This sounds more like a crease than a dent, and it cannot be popped out without a dent puller. Thanks, Dana
