Make sure spark plug is tight,if that is not it pull plug and ground it to see if you have spark, also make sure plug is not fouled, then check ignition coil, that if there are two primary wires make sure there are connected and power is getting to them.if you have just one wire coil is internally ground check for insultion breakdown also make sure your plug wire is good

Bad gas cap, not allowing air to enter is one possibility. Other is bad ignition coil/module. Check for spark immediately at failure.

The spark plug keeps getting wet every time i take it out its a ktm 85 sx 2014 model i clean the spark plug and blow torch it itll start and idle but when the throttle goes its bog and turn off?

Brand new from the dealer? Don't mess with it if so, make them fix it. From what I've read, it may just be the fuel mixture is too rich.

Not getting a spark at the plug

Hi, Daniel if you have a CKP sensor it needs compression to send the correct signal to the ICM/ECM, make sure both spark plugs are in heads and use a grounded third plug to check for spark or hold spark plug cable close to spark plug in the head. If still not getting spark the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Discharged battery, check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
3. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
4. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting / leaking, spark plug cable connections loose.
5. Faulty ignition coil or ignition / electronic module
6. Failed CKP, CMP, or BAS sensor.
7. Faulty ignition switch.
8. Security alarm failing to disarm needs reset

Temperamental when starting, at times it is not a problem, other times it just won't start

Hello,

Check your spark plugs and make sure that they are not fouled, wrong gap (too wide), bad, poor condition and check the spark plug caps to make sure they are still tight. Also, do not give it throttle when starting, you can flood the engine. You can throttle it 3 or 4 times before trying to start it and this may help. You might try different choke positions too.

Hope this helps. If you find this information useful, please vote on this post. Thank you.

Oz

It wont start

well it could be because the bike sat for a while. with the 2 stroke gas being mixed with oil sometimes when it sits the oil sinks to the bottom and it will clog the valves fuel lines carb every thing. you should check.
