If the pilot stays lit and main burners wont fire you don't need to replace the pilot generator! you have an open safety, poor electrical connection or a problem within the tstat controls

SOURCE: My pool heater will not ignite. I turned it on

That would be the thermal couple. When the pilot light is lit then it heats the thermal couple. When power is sent from the thermostat it opens the gas valve as long as the thermal couple is heated from the pilot light. Even though the pilot light is heating the thermal couple, the thermal couple is not telling the gas valve that there is a pilot light. So this means that the thermal couple needs replaced. This is very common.

Why won't the pilot light stay lit?

You have a "pilot generator" that sits in the flame of the pilot light. This generates a low voltage output from the flame of the pilot light. This voltage goes to the gas valve and tells the valve that the pilot is lit and to keep the pilot gas line open.
In almost all cases replacing the pilot generator will resolve the issue . They run about $60-$75.
Other causes may be the gas valve itself or a short in the safety loop, in either case should be looked at by a pool tech.

Jandy lite 2 pool heater will not stay lit.

I'm having the same issue as the above user with Jandy Lite 2 (which from what I can tell stands for the number of times that you can get this POS to work annually)!
The unit LIGHTS OFF, but WON'T STAY LIT! Igniter engages, gas valve opens, unit lights, burns for 10 seconds, and flames out. Error code FL 2, after third attempt, already replaced the flame sensor....

Pilot is lit, but burner will not come on. I jumped TH/PP to TH then burner comes on. Pilot generator = 350mV.

More than likely the tempature control is defective, since you effectively bypassed that connection. I found a manual for your unit which shows different types of ignition. I'm not even sure if the millivolt system is covered in this manual. Here's the sight

Main Burner Will only stay on with mid range temperature setting

Thermostat is bad. There is a micro switch behind the dial that reacts to the temp probe and you may try cleaning it out first but in my experience replacing the t-stat is usually required.
