I have a 94 yamaha blaster got it rain good for an hour and shut down clean the carburetor cleaned the Jets put it back together and started up ran fine to get home when to start it wouldn't startpush...

When it shuts down, pull the fuel line off the carburetor for a second and see if the fuel is flowing freely, the petcock could be clogged, if its free flowing, check the spark with an inline spark tester hooked up in between the ignition coil and the spark plug, they sell them at harbor freight for cheap. Then kick it over and see if the tester lights up and flashes. It sounds to me like the ignition coil is bad, usually when they start to go bad they heat up and then stop working. Or you could hook up a multimeter to the spark plug cap and the wire going into the coil and check the resistance and compare that to the factory specs.

Hi, Anonymous you may have a faulty cdi or charging coil issue for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Yamaha, despair not, for a mere $0 you can download another one. Chevy venture stalled

Compression, spark , timing , fuel for any engine to run. Don't forget a stopped up catalytic convertor will have the same effect as you described. Backfiring of course is fouled plugs, bad plug wires, look for arcing from wires when it is dark outside. If it has a distributor check for cracked cap, had my 91 GMC start backfiring then die due to ignition module inside distributor going bad. It would start back up after it cooled for about 10 minutes.

94 jeep grand cherokee ltd 5.2l, wont start, turns over, smells like fresh fuel, has backfired from exhaust, replaced spark plugs (fuel fouled and dirty) and has worked for about a week and gradually...

You are saying the injectors are allowing too much fuel into the cylinders. Or not enough air from the air filter.
Is the check engine light on, and have you checked the fuel pressure regulator ?

Kawazaki kdx 125 wont start

KICK HARDER TRY PULL STARTING IT..IN SECOND GEAR..DOES IT HAVE ENOUGH COMPRESSION TO START?IT SHOULD START PULLING IT...START OFF WITH NO THROTTLE THAN IF NOT STARTING CRACK THE THROTTLE SO LIGHTLY AND SHE SHOULD FIRE OFF WHILE IN GEAR BEING PULLED OF COURSE BE CARE FUL NOT TO RUN INTO. WHO EVERS PULLING YOU..USE A LONG TOW ROPE..IF YOUR NOT A SEASONDED RIDER AND KNOW YOUR BIKE VERY WELL I WOULD NOT ATTEMPT THE PULL START...IF NOT CHECK YOUR COMPRESSION AND TIMING..MAJOR VACUUM LEAK MAYBE AT BASE GASKET..IS ENGINE SUCKING TO MUCH AIR? GOOD LUCK..
