Question about 2000 Harley Davidson FLHT Electra Glide Standard
Sounds like it could be the ignition plate. one easy trick is to use a heat gun or a hair dryer. Heat up the plate when the bike is cold and see if you can recreate the issue be heating up the plate. The motor gives off alot of heat down there. Check for the rubber or epoxy looking material to be soft. If it is bad replace with a Dyna ignition. It's stupid proof on the install side as well as dependable. Other brands don't tend to have the stamina like the Dyna does.
