Obviously its problem with your fuel to air mixture. It is building up unburnt fuel due to not enough oxygen. This lack of enough oxygen will cause the stalls and the build up of gas will cause the backfires. Heat affects the mixture ratio. A number of detector are involved in the exhaust system and any one of them could be failing. Throttle Position Sensors, MAP sensor, Oxygen sensors, catalytic converter, etc. You should be getting the check engine light coming on also. Any auto parts place can read you the code numbers for free. They will provide more specific information about failing parts.

1991 Nissan maxima hesitates

Best guess is O2 sensor is reading too much unburned fue in the exhaust for some reason and leaning out the fuel flow to compensate. Runs when you throw more throttle at it but leans out as you try to hold steady speed. Should throw a code though.

Evap control malfunction& acceleration not ok after heavy traffic

Is a black cannister with vaccum hoses usually small size in front of engine by the grill. The cannister acts as a recycle unit for your gasoline fumes. Try uncapping your gas cap once to depressurelize the tank. you may nee a new gas cap?
