When you collapsed your suspension, it hydraulically "locked" down.. now that it has returned to normal, it should be OK...as long as it works smoothly and does not bind... ....be careful.. rubber side down=always!!

Why did you ratchet it down till it was hard you only need to ratchet it down enough to stop it moving around
if it returned to the normal height after releasing the straps and when you sit on it and bounce on the seat and it compresses and rebounds ok it should be safe to ride

Unfortunately, the service indicator can only be reset via the dealer computer. The aftermarket GS-911 code reader is supposed to have this feature soon or maybe already has it.

No, I don't think it would be possible. the engine casings are different as well as the transmission housings.

The gear indicator is via a switch or pot on the transmission depending on year etc.

You would be money ahead to sell your 1100RT and upgrade to an 1150 or better still a 1200RT. There are lots of 1150RT's on the used market for sale at reasonable prices.

there should be a BMW seat that will be lower than the original as an op extra , my mate has one for his 1200RT 2008. You can adjust the rear shock to lower your ride hight but get some hands on help,
