Throttle valve cable adjustment:Place throttle body in idle position. Press cable lock button to release cable. Pull cable conduit toward rear of vehicle until wiper is completely retracted into end of conduit fitting. Release cable lock button. Raise vehicle for access to trans throttle valve lever. Rotate throttle valve lever toward front of vehicle until ratcheting sound (from cable) stops. CAUTION " Do not rotate throttle valve beyond the idle stop. The lever, valve and manual lever shaft will be damaged if rotated too far." Check cable adjustment. Throttle valve lever should begin to move at same time lever on MPI throttle body moves off idle position. Lower vehicle. 1991/1992 Rear Wheel Drive Truck There is also an adjustment procedure for front and rear band adjustments at engine if you need them.

Hi, I have a corolla 05 and my car won't go forward and reverse. What should be the problem ?

First you need to check your transmission fluid and second find where your leak is and third you may have a linkage problem and fourth you may have a bad transmission. Good Luck Friend.

How to adjust idle on 94 eclipse

you should be able to adjust it by the trottle cable check under the hood and see if theres not two nuts holding your trottle cable in place if so ajust if need be. this is a easier way to increase your rpm at idle but you shouldnt be able to decre your rpms at idle this way. for that yu may have to look and see if there is a adjustment screw on your trottlebody that can increase and decrease your rpm at idle. if your have a low idle problem try cleaning the inside of your trottle body really good with a lint free rag and some trottle body cleaner also try cleaning your idle control vavle if cleaning your trottlebody didnt help.

Need to know what the throttle body looks like & how to replace it..

The trottle body is located on the intake manifold. There will be a black tube going to it. This tube is the breather tube and on the opposite end is the air filter and it container. You trottle cable and cruise control cable will also be attached to it. If you are unsure of its location, have a friend get inside the car and work the gas peddle. While you are looking at the top of the moter, you should see the linkage at the trottle body moving. Tha linkage is part of the trottle body.

I have a 92GL, somestimes it will not shift into high gear(Drive 3 or what ever the top gear is). Somestimes it works fine. Car has 218000 miles on it. Any ideas to what might be causing this and/or the...

My car just had the same problem and i bought a over-drive bypass plate from IPD and now it works just fine, just put it on yesterday. My overdrive solenoid was the problem. So, instead of paying $160 for a new one, i paid $40 for the bypass plate. I drive a 91 Volvo 940 Turbo with over 250K miles and now i have my overdrive back. I think if your overdrive relay was bad, the shift light would come on on the dashboard. So it may just be your solenoid.
