Question about 2001 Yamaha V Star Custom
My Yahama V star 1100 custom is making a slight pinging noise sounds like its comming from the exaust when i accelerate and idea what could cause this
Never made this pinging noise before
The 1100 Custom requires the valves to be adjusted every 3000 miles.
It is best to use high octane gas also. Regular or shall I say CHEAP gas will over time cause the pinging or spark knock.
Pinging could also be something worse if it does not go away with valve adjustment and better gas. Get it checked right away.
Kinda miss my ole 1100 custom but the Yamaha Raider I have now does not require valve adjustments every 3,000 miles. And fast.... oh dear lord. :)
Hope this helps!
