I'm not too familiar with dirtbikes but my experience with street bikes it has been on the underside of the carbs and if stock it is typically covered by a brass plug. this plug is just there to satisfy the epa you need to drill it out but be careful the screw is directly underneath the plug so as soon as you break thru pull back then use a screw to extract the plug. hope this is the answer you are looking for.

2002 Honda CR 125 R idle adjustment

Hi, Anonymous you need to make sure you have no intake leaks by spraying some Brake Kleen, Contact Cleaner, Starting Fluid etc. around the intake manifold and seals, if the RPM's go up or down significantly then you have a leak that needs to be fixed before you can continue with the carburetor adjustment.
The engine should be at operating temperature with the enrichener off to set the idle between 950-1050 rpm. Turn the idle skrew clockwise to increase the idle speed and counterclockwise to decrease the idle speed. If you have access to your air fuel mixture skrew you may turn it as well, if not there is a video below on how to gain access, make sure you start with clean or new spark plugs. Gently turn the air fuel mixture skrew clockwise until it starts to bottom out "STOP" do not over tighten as it will damage the taper on the end, now back the skrew out 1-1/2 full turns to establish a starting point start the engine and check the idle rpm's and turn the idle skrew accordingly for 950-1050 rpm if necessary, turn the air fuel mixture skrew 1/4 turn at a time and let the engine settle for about 10 seconds, turn the skrew clockwise for a leaner mixture and counterclockwise for a richer mixture, you are seeking the highest rpm your air fuel mixture skrew can acquire without going past 3 full turns from bottom then resetting the idle skrew back down to 950-1050 rpm If you can not detect any rpm change and can not stall the engine by turning the air-fuel mixture skrew all the way in then your pilot/low-speed jet is too big and needs to be replaced with the next size smaller. Final adjustment should be made with a clean air filter mounted to the carburetor.

2000 suzuki rm 80 new piston rings top end kit bike wont run rite starts sometimes but only runs for a minuite or so then bogs out and wont start again .

What this sounds like is a carb issue. There are screws that are located on the carb that control the air and fuel mixture, if you are getting to much air then it will crank and run only for a minute or two then shut off. Have you tried adjusting it? It can take some time to get it right as each bike engine is going to be slightly different and all adjustments are going to be bike/engine specific. I would recommend adjusting the air and fuel mixture, that will probably work for ya. Hope that this helped.

I have a 03 125 if i just want to hammer on throttle it bogs untill powband kicks in then bog just rebuilt changes plug gas ratio cleaned air filter what else i think the jet or aif fuel is wrong the...

Try moving the clip on the jet needle downward one or two notches. This will richen the midrange mixture and lessen the bog. Remove the top of the carb for access to the jet needle and clip.

Hi i got a rm 125 06 the bike starts and rans but it wont power band at all wat could it be

First check the exhaust and air box are in good condition no holes or cracks ,as either will ruin the fuel mixture especially on a 2 stroke . all so try a new plug as this can foul up and is a cheap starting point. Put fresh fuel in and drain carb if req. Also check air filter is clean and set fuel mixture properly, cleaning the carb or injection nosel may help. If a power valve is fitted check it is moving ,remove valve cover and exhaust at the barrel then pull the cable the valve must compleatly expose the exhaust port at fully open. Finally if this does not work the piston or bore may be worn very common on 2 strokes ,look down the exhaust port and look for scores down the barrel.and replace if worn.

Carb adjusting

get the bike started, hold the engine at a high idle. while holding the idle high, adjust the air fuel mixture screw until it sounds smooth. rev it up a few times and see if the engine is "snappier". let it return to an idle, then adjust the idle screw. it may take a few tries to get it right, just listen to the engine.. if this dont work, you may consider re-jetting the carb. hope this helps...
