Question about 2002 Harley Davidson FXDL Dyna Low Rider
I ride a Moto Guzzi California Titanium that vibrates at just about any speed. I doesnt affect the handling, but both rear view mirrors are useless. Other wise the bike behaves fine, and is very quick. I thought that it might be the V-twin engine (1100cc). My wife rides a Guzzi Nevada, same type engine, but no vibration. Any ideas?
It could be any number of things, from wheel bearings to clutch to out-of-balance engine.
All Guzzi's shake to some extent, at least until you reach 1500rpm or so... but I would hesitate to give you a specific reason.
Has the bike been checked by a Guzzi shop? It may be that the two cylinders are 'out' and the FI needs a reset.

I had the same problem I thought with my 2003 aluminum so I stopped at a dealer and after returning from a test ride he told me there was nothing wrong with the bike(grin on his face). I've learned to let the engine rev up a little more before shifting and the vibes have been basically eliminated. I now like my bike. At first I thought I was being hexed for buying something other than a Triumph for the first time since 1964.
