My 1989 Toyota Camry won't start. We replaced the fuel pump a few weeks ago and it started up but ran rough and sputtered when starting from a stop. It also looses power when going up a hill and when accelerating it sputters for a bit but once it speeds up it runs fine. Any ideas??

It sounds to me not enough fuel getting to engine.could be a fuel pressure problem.Maybe a faulty fuel pump.or could also be a faulty idle sensor.Just a few possibilities
Good Luck :)

There is a problem with water getting into the wiring somewhere. I notice mine won't start after it rains but as it dries out goes like a dream. I haven't found out where it is getting in yet.
