I have the same problem in my Quest 2004 automatic, but happen just an speed of 16 to 22 Mi/hr. If I acelerate more than 25mi/hr and decelerate to 15~18 mi/hr and try to accelerate again, the motor rev goes hi, the transmission HIT or the gear engage fast, so you can ear a sound, no other failure present, just in that condition. if I start form 0 mi/hr, there is no failure, all gear look great, reverse the same, no other failure in other speed, no Check-engine Light,
I already review the transmission and they told me that need repair (completely), the change the Valve Box, but the failure still there, now they want to open the transmission and repair.. any Ideas? Can I use a LUCAS FIX OIL?
Hi, try taking to down to your local garage and asking then to have a look.. it might need a new clutch though if its serious but the gears might just need oiling
Is your vehicle automatic or manual?
Try changing the transmission fluid.
Also it could be the hoses running to and from and your transmission. They may be collapsed partially which sometimes causes a hard shift into second gear.

The clutch bearing is supposed to have a groove on the inside where it slides on the shaft That groove is supposed to have a heavy grease applied to it to prevent the bearing running dry on the collar it slides on.Regardless of your driving style, that grease is intended to remain there for the life of the clutch, (generally every clutch I have ever replaced still had some remaining lube there unless the bearing itself failed from a material defect which caused it to overheat and cause that grease to then run out of the retaining groove) I'm not there and can't see the old parts, but in my opinion the first clutch may have failed partially because of your lack of skill in using a stick shift vehicle but the second failure obviously is not your fault if the information you have posted is correct.

I have been hearing a possible solution for this problem is changing the oil filter in the trans oil pan. But ive been looking all over for a solutionand thats the only legit one ive found. It said when the oil gets clogged it doesnt flow to the transmission as nicely as normal therefore leading to lagging changes
