SOURCE: Stuck in 5th gear

That just recently happened to me. If your stick wont move into any of the gears, then you need a clutch. But if you can shift into the gears but dont go anywhere, then you need a new transmission.

SOURCE: transmission problems (gear linkage)

The gear linkages are not correctly aligned.
Is the gearbox mounting in exactly the same place as when you removed it?
Even a 1/4 inch will offset the gears.
hope this helps

SOURCE: 2002 Ford Ranger Clutch Problems

It's not the clutch, it is the clutch slave cylinder. Check the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder and you will see that it will be empty. The problem is the trans has to be removed to replace it.

SOURCE: 1994 FORD RANGER STANDARD TRANS CLUTCH WON'T ENGAGE

The only adjustment you'll probably need is to get the air out of the clutch line. Loosen the bleeder screw, and put a two or three foot vacuum line on it. Submerse the other end of the line in a bottle of brake fluid. Pump the clutch untill no more bubbles are coming out of the hose into the bottle. Be sure to keep the reservoir topped up while you do this. Hold the clutch down, and tighten the bleeder screw. Some hydraulic clutches do have an adjustment on the rod that goes from the slave cyllinder to the pressure plate. I'm not sure about yours. If there is a nut on the rod, you can adjust it somewhat. You want it set so that there is just a little bit of play between the rod and the pressure plate where the rod goes. If none of this helps, you mayneed to replace the slave cyllinder.

I don't really understand what you are trying to say. Did you pull the shifter out and replace a part on the top of the transmission? or pull the transmission and replace parts? Find dell pin?

Lost speed.5th gear stoped working

old car. 5th gear? is this M/T? 1987 ?
A/T? is 4speed

what does stopped working mean .
1: shifter fails to select 5 gear H pattern slot.
2: grinds?
3: cant force it to 5th with clutch depressed.? is free play at spec?
4: raise front wheels off ground, can you get in to 5th now? keyout and running?
5: can you get into 5th parked engine off, and select 5th and then start car in 5th with clutch depresses first step. then slowly very slowly attempt to move car starting in 5th, but dont finish, just feel the gear, feel that its there and not neutral.

not working ,says nothing at all.

My ford focus tdi 2003 cant select 1st,3rd or 5th gears.

Car is in limp in mode unless you have the tools to work on automatic transmission you will need to take it to a transmission shop. Of course you can check oil level but I suspect you have other issues.

2003 Ford Ranger-5 Speed. At times is very hard to get into gear

Your clutch is not releasing all the way. (Assuming the problem is not internal to the transmission) Bleed the system. If that doesn't work, rebuild the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder and bleed again.
