Sounds like not enough vacum to draw fuel .faulty diaphram pump. gas cap should have a breather assembly to allow air to enter gas tank and prevent a vacum lock as well

SOURCE: I just purchased a troy

remove the spark plug.  And pull the cord again.  if the carb float is stuck down or you overfilled the oil you could be hydro-locking the engine.  Check.

SOURCE: Troy bilt Bronco tiller Model#

Recheck the pulleys, sand the pulley grooves until they are rough for max grip w/80 grit and do a careful pulley alignment check with a straight edge, don't just eyeball it, then make sure the belts are not to loose, about 1/2" at center run of belt is good enough,

SOURCE: troy-bilt bronco rear tine oil seal leak model

Hi, you can just don't go to the local auto parts store and get a seal w/ identical ID and OD. TB seals have an all steel housing that protects the seal from rocks, roots etc. I'm having to assume the bronco is built the same as my old horse.
If you don't want to disassemble the housing, just drive an old flat tip screwdriver in the seal housing next to the tine housing. Using the tine housing as fulcrum, slip a punch or another screwdriver under the one you're prying with to work the seal out. Don't know about yours but a piece of 1 and 1/2" PVC worked good for a seal driver on my horse.

Take care...

Why isn't engine getting gas thrugh carberator?

-Possibly fuel line is clogged between tank to carburetor. Or the line
is closed. (Most tiller has a Open/Closed valve that let you open and close the gas line)

Good luck

Tiller engine won't turn over after the till was on its side to clean tines

remove the spark plug and pull it to force any fuel and oil from the cylinder hold a rag over the top of the spark plug hole as fuel and oil will spray out check the oil level before running the engine again

I HAVE A 8HP HORSE TROYBILT TILLER. I CAN NOT GET ANY GAS INTO THE CARB. I HAVE CLEAN GAS, NEW HOSES, AND CLEANED THE CARB. THE FLOAT IS NOT STUCK, ANY HELP?

have you checked to make sure your fuel shut off valve is turned on? If you remove the fuel line at the tank( with something to catch the gas) and your fuel shut off is turned on and you get no flow then something is clogging the fitting at the tank or inside the tank. You will have to remove and clean the tank. Let me know how you come out.

Troy Bilt Rear tine tiller model 643 Bronco, won't start,it ran out of gas, put in new gas and it started but wouldn't stay running. Put in new spark plugs, cleaned filters, changed out gas, still won't...

did it run out of gas when you added gas it could be that the fuel line has plugged up with something from the bottom of the tank take the fuel line off and try blowing threw it and take a air hose and blow out the carb and carb cleaner

Could you tell me how to drain the gas tank.

easy way is to take the nut off the bottom of the carburetor bowl. It'll drain the tank, carb and fuel line. If you're not comfortable with this, then you can pull the fuel line off the carb or tank and let them drain this way too.
