Problem for Buell 2003 Firebolt XB9R

There is a nocking sound coming for the engine

after i noticed the "nocking", i checked the engine oil and i am low. so i lost my manual and dont know whch type of oil to fill with. Im not sure if that is even the immediate problem. Any insight to my problem would be great.

Any oil is better than no oil. Put some motor oil in there before you run it any more, even if it isn't exactly right.
