Remove your ECU relay and your ECM fuse. Do not do anything else before you do this! Verify that all your battery connections are tight and clean, next any grounds for lamps, etc. make sure they are tight too. Replace relay and then fuse. Carry an extra relay with you and see how it goes. A loose or bad ground can cause a voltage spike which kills relays, fuses, and other parts. good luck.

gonna guess that the timing belt slipped or broke due to low oil pressure up top..what was the odor..burnt oil. burnt antifreeze or burnt rubber..or did it burn your nose like an electrical fire..repost please

Where is the ecu located

The fuel relay should be under the speedometer, and the ecm should be under the passenger seat.

2000 chevy venture. wont start. change fuel pump runs perfectly for one day. next day the van start and drives out of driveway sputters and dies. starts and sputters back home. change the fuel censor. ...

Testing is the way to a fix . Fuel pump pressure testing , electrical testing . Viewing engine sensor data on a scan tool . Instead of guessing as to the problem learn to test or take it to a qualified repair shop . Changing ECU without doing it correctly can cause problems that were not there before . PCM - engine computers need to be programmed , dealer only.

Hi Toliver93, 1992 and later Touring Models, fuel pump fuses and relays will be behind the right side panel, starter and ignition relays will be under the seat behind the battery, everything else will be behind the left side panel to access fuses pull back on the front two locking tabs and slide the cover up. 2002 FLHTCI MISSING AT TIMES

It sounds like the engine is running a bit lean but it could be spark plugs or wires breaking down under a load. Try another set of spark plugs but don't throw the old ones away. If this does not correct the problem, you're going to have to take the bike to a dealer or someone that can "remap" the fuel system. The mechanic may want to see the old spark plugs to determine if the mixture is lean. Due to EPA emission standards requirements, Harley's come set up to run very lean and sometimes they are just too lean for some areas of the country. Good Luck.

The ECM1 fuse blowing usually indicates that the fuel pump wires shorted inside the tank. If you drop the tank and remove the module, you will probably find the insulation burned off the gray pump wire.

Renault Laguna 2.2 diesel cutting out and difficulty starting

for this heap of doogy doo their is only one solution without spending lots of cash and that is apart from burning it ,is to fit a in-line fuel pump with a relay these cars a renouwn for playing up like this .dealer sees you coming and yes you will lay the golden egg ...regardless trust me.fit a in-line pump in the fuel line to maintain pressure if this doesnt work then its not the fuel /injector pump as they will have you beleave and charge accordingly to remove and send to diesel overhaul shop or just fit a new one but it will be the ECU management system which is over a thousand euros and you cant fit it yourself as it has to be programmed and its encrypted software dealer only.Dealer wont tell you this untill they have changed everything eles at a cost of up too 1000 euros then say its a specialist renault problem and the car is then moved to another garage for a second opinion then the renault rep has to look then the answer is the ECU ,trust me on this one been their and have the teashirt for a customer and yes its a true story.

My horn on a 1998 ford zx2 has stopped working. The fuse is fine.

The horn(s) burn out very easily, also there is a relay, press the horn button repeatedly and listen for a click noise (it may be under hood), if you don't hear it the relay may be at fault, if you do the horn is burned out, not uncommon.
