Question about 1986 Honda VT 1100 C
Fuel pump relay...had this problem a couple years ago. It's used for if the bike tips over, it kills the fuel pump. You can bypass this or find a used relay. New ones are discontinued. It shows in the Honda service manual for that year how to bypass the relay to test the fuel pump. In your case it's to test to see if the relay is the cause of it dying...mine would die and then not start for some time...then it would start as if nothing was wrong until it happened again. Good luck.

It may be the kill switch. Take it apart and clean the things out then lube with di-electric grease. also check things like the alternator connections and such. I have a 1982 CB750 and mine was just a bad connection to the battery.
