When your Reveal will not squeeze you have o-ring swell on the piston which squirts the fluid out. I think the piston rubber swells under the influence of the solvents that people use to clean their floor. My fix, take it apart, and drill out (ream) the plastic cylinder the piston moves up and down in so it moves freely.

Now it works fine. I also stretched the spring a little.

The designers forgot about o-ring swell. Remember the Challenger?

Numatic George Wet/dry vacuum won't spray - Only a very very very faint buzzing sound can be heard putting my ear right next to the machine.

There are a few potential causes for why your Numatic George wet/dry vacuum is not spraying and only producing a faint buzzing sound. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the water level: Make sure that the water level in the tank is sufficient and not too low. If the water level is too low, it can cause the spray function to malfunction.
  2. Check the water supply hose: Make sure that the water supply hose is properly connected and not kinked or damaged.
  3. Check the spray nozzle: Make sure that the spray nozzle is not clogged and is able to rotate freely. If the nozzle is clogged, it can prevent the spray function from working properly.
  4. Check the motor: If the motor is not functioning properly, it can cause the spray function to malfunction. To check the motor, you can try running the vacuum without the hose or attachments to see if it is functioning properly. If the motor is not functioning properly, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, it may be necessary to take the vacuum to a professional for repair.

I have no spray on floor but have spray at hand

Same Bissell 9500 cleaner. Hand piece works fine, but cant spray water / cleaner when doing the floor. I've made sure the rollers are working and taken my air compressor on low psi and blown back to make sure the floor spray lines are clear...

Going to take apart and check the pump today.

Still looking for help! Thanks

No spray in hands-free mode.

Hi, I had the same problem ... I tried hot water for 30 minutes with no sucess ... then opened the unit and could see nothing real obvious in the solution hoses ... so took the main hose off the valve from the solution tank ... then plugged in the unit over a towel (be careful) ... and selected clean ... the valve opened and a bunch of fluid flushed through - so I knew the valve was ok. I then blew through the remaining hoses and did seem to get some flow .... and reassembeled the unit ... and filled the tank with vinegar solution ... the manual spray immediately cleared with a bunch of dark flakes ... the regular brush spray worked fine.
