Question about 1982 Honda VF 750 S

1 Answer

No pressure in a motorcycle clutch

I have a 1982 Honda VF750. There is no clutch and no pressure in the line when I try to bleed it. I've let it sit overnight and the problem is no better. I rebuilt the master cyclinder and confirmed the line is clear, but still can't get pressure. When I put it in gear, it almost throws me off because the wheel engages immediately. Any suggestions?

Bleed the master cylinder first, fill the resovoir pump the lever a few times and crack the bolt that holds the line to the mastercylinder,do this two or three times or untill all the air is gone from the master cylinder piston assembly, you should then be able to bleed the rest of the line, dont let the fluid get to low when bleeding the line out as you will end up with an air lock in the piston assembly again

I have a 1982 honda magna vf750 v45 and am getting no power to the ignition switch battery has full charge what else should I be looking at?

Look for a fuse panel, probably under the seat near the battery. Fuses can also be inline on the positive wire.

The hydraulic clutch will not disengage on my 1984 motorcycle vf500cc magna

Check your fluid level and bleed the hydraulic clutch. If that does not work , rebuild the clutch master and slave with new seals and the problem should be solved.

I have a 82 v45 magna that has the same problem with the clutch aswell,it has no pressure we tried to bleed it and did it the correct way but now i have nothing in the clutch?

Either has a bad clutch master cylinder, or a bad slave cylinder. If you can line lock the clutch, does it have good pressure? If not, you need a clutch master, if so, it is slave cylinder, or a bad clutch.
