Question about BMW R 80 Motorcycles
If the engine needs choke on to run well then it means there is not enough petrol going to the combustion chamber, this sometimes can be an issue with the carb itself.I would suggest you first drop the carb to bits and remove any plastic for example rubber seals and/or float etc and when there is only metal left put in soaked in thinner overnight or a few days...If this does not solve this problem then you need to increase fuel going in by either putting an air filter on it which minimize breath in air and hence more petrol or else you need to increase the copper like petrol injector which may have like let's say 80 to 88..You will need to play around with it until you get the proper setting..Remember that insufficient petrol may cause the piston to seize,so be careful not to waste your money..I hope this helps and do ask if you have any questions..
