My van is very week on start up until it warms up a bit its 03 1.9 100 dci

Give me more info.
I'll presume you mean the starter motor turns over slow when cold but is ok when warm?
Most common cause for sluggish starter motor when cold is a battery that;s just about ready to replace.

To proove, use jumper leads from another car and see the difference.

ok hard starting it depends whether you are staying coldy areas if not ,use a multimeter to take the reading first open your bonnet take reading on the battery before starting then take readings while someone crankings the engine for you 12,10volts before start then not less than 09,5volts your battery is ok .hold on the battery feel them if they are warm if so problem with your starter motor or loose earth cable

HARD STARTING, especially after driving for a while, on a 2003 Sentra, 1.8 engine. Car idles and runs very well after starting it, which takes 3 or 4 tries each time. First start of the day is......

your car might be covered under warranty if not go to any nissan dealearship parts dept ask for a fuel pump repair kit not the fuel pump and install it by removing your fuel pump assy that should fix your problem

Hard to start - especially in the cold (below 40 degrees F)

you did mean below 40 degrees F ????? thats quite warm for us???
now if it was 40 degrees below F i gess the choke is not working very well or the battery dont like it that warm/cool? test the battery out it may need a much stronger battery fitted, we only fit the bigest that will go on them, as living in a lane colder than a freezer you need a good battery and some very warm clothes

2006 Maxima starts ok when cold. Really hard to

Might be an oil issue. Oil when hot might be too thick for the pump to pump the oil easily in the engine. Check that and if not that come back.

I have a 2003 TT-R125 and it's always been hard to start.

just like in all cases when it gets colder outside, simply add a fuel stabilizer or HEAT to the fuel tank
