How do i find the hot wire on my 2012 toyota tundras ignition switch

To be legal they must not operate when the high beams are on. Use a relay because of the current and connect them via the relay to the battery. Power the relay from the low beam power wire. Be sure you put a fuse in the battery line.

My sears 16" chainsaw cuts to the right allthe time and has been used very little since knew is this a common problem with sears brand- CHEAP-steal in bar?

Make sure the teeth on the chain are all sharpened to the same length and the depth guages are all filed to the correct level. Check the bar is not bent and check chain tension. All these things can cause a saw you bow when cutting.

Radio want cut off when cut car off

Usually this is because someone has changed the head from the original, and when they hooked it up, they chose the wrong wire. You have 2 choices if you don't like this.
1) Pull the radio head out and hook up the hot wire to the proper wire that is activated by the ignition switch.
2) Find the hot wire, and add a toggle switch to it, so you can turn it off when you are done listening to it.
I have 2 cars with this same problem.
I chose option 2 for both of them.
Be blessed.

Wiring

Sounds like you have linked these up to ignition switch out feed to the kill switch/running curcuit rather than the lighting curcuit out from the ignition. most bike run 2 somtimes 3 curcuits out from the ignition switch one running curcuit and one lighting.

Installing a dual cd player in a 2006 scion xb but dual cd player wont cut on unless both consistint power an ignition power are both together, making it impossible to hook up for memory.

The yellow wire needs to go to a constant source and the red wire should go to a switched (ignition) source. There should be a wire that is hot even with the key off.

Is their anyway to get the power socket, cigarette lighter kind, to turn off when i turn off the car?

There are two ways of going about it. The best way to do it would be to use a relay. Cut the 12v+ wire going to the cigarette lighter, hook one side up to terminal 87 and the other side to 30 of the relay. Ground pin 85 and hook up pin 86 to a switched ignition wire. Doesn't matter too much which ignition switched wire you use. The radio is near by and has a switched ignition wire you can tap off of. The relay draws very little current so it won't affect the other circuit. Doing it this way keeps the power to the cigarette lighter on the original circuit, but switches it on when the ignition is on. You can purchase an automotive relay like the one pictured at radio shack or any auto supply store for a few bucks.

Unit still on while ignition is off

there is a wire that is called remote. that is the wire that cuts off the radio when the power is killed. you should have a red wire that is power a black wire that is negative and usually a yellow wire that is the remote wire. there is a wire coming out of your stock radio harness that is on when the ignition is on, and off when you cut the key off. that is the wire you want to hook the remote wire too. if the remote wire is not there, you can hook that yellow wire to anything in the car that is on when you turn the key on but off when you turn the key off, its called acc. you probly have yellow and red both connected togather.
