My suggestion is to have the battery actually load tested at a shop. Just because it outputs 12 volts means very little. Second step, turn your hey on-off-on-off-on quickly. Watch the odometer now, the digital display will show a series of three digit numbers. Write them down and consult the Haynes manual or online sources to find out what the fault codes mean.
Make sure your battery contacts are clean and tight. If the fault codes didn't indicate a problem, check your ignition switch, and to see if voltage is reaching the starter. Check all the connections and wires to the starter as well although with the fuel pump not running as well it sounds like it's something else.
Also yes look in the owners manual for the location of the fuel pump kill switch. Find it and reset the switch. As far as I know all modern cars have those accident reset switches now.

Personally I wouldnt bother tracing the wire as it is probably not worth your time, and just run a constant 12v from the battery to the relay on like 10ga wire. There is probably a short somewhere in the system which can be a real headache to find.

Also it may sound dumb, but check your fuses, and the fusible links under the hood. Chances are that they are all fine though, especially if you have dash lights.

SOURCE: wont start

There's only 2 more things that I can think of, check the fuse for the ignition, then the computor itself, you did everything else.It might be the problem and may not.

SOURCE: I have a 2003 Dodge Caravan with a 3.3L it wont

Yes they do but I would rather think you have a bad battery cabe connection to the system, sometimes the battery cable corrudes and you can't see it try replacing the cable ends and the connector ends espically if they are by the battery.

SOURCE: 2003 dodge caravan won't start

My 2003 dodge caravan would not start after driving about 1/2 hour. I stopped for coffee and when got back in to start it started I switched gears and it stalled. I tried to start again switched gears then it started but only for 2 sec. No clicking, no cranking sound just would not start but battery functions were great. Spent 2 days with a mechanic who could not resolve so sent to Dodge. After a day of putting wires back and checking out the problem they said it was the computer. Said that it was bad and could be replaced at no charge due to malfunction. Yes, it worked fine afterwards no more problems. They also said that some of the computers are found to be defective like this one so I hope this helps you in the right choice to have the dealer check it out if you are unable to get a computer reading and there is no obvious short in the system. Free sounded very good but as you know there is no such thing as really free as they got me for other things $350 worth. ouch!

2001 ford f150 wont start

Hello; what happens when you turn the ignition key to the start position? Are you getting a clicking sound? If so, it is most likely the starter solenoid that has gone on the fritz. The starter solenoid is located on the passenger side fender well inside the engine compartment. Sometimes, lightly tapping the solenoid with the handle end of a screwdriver will jostle it to work- DO NOT HIT IT HARD...you'll break the housing. Try jumping out the solenoid with the long shaft of the screw driver by turning the ignition key to the run position (where all the dash lights turn on), then jump out the solenoid; if the engine starts to turn over, you've isolated the problem. Replace the solenoid with a genuine Ford replacement part; don't use third party ones that can be purchased cheaply at an auto parts store. They don't last very long since they CANNOT handle the high current flowing to the starter, Let me know how you made out with your repair project; best wishes. BTW, if it is helpful, snap a photo of the solenoid before removing any terminals from it in case you forgot which wire goes where.

1993honda civic wont start all lights bright fuel pump primes but nothin installed new starter still nothin what next igniter

It is hard to tell from your definition what is exactly the issue..a starter draws 120 or more amps of current and headlamps draw about 12 for the pair.just because the headlamps work does not mean enough current is present for a starter.#1Jump it with a good battery and see if it cranks,if it does the battery is bad .if it cranks over but wont start, check and see if you have spark with a spark tester.,if not,the distributors are a common fault on these cars.#3 if it does not crank at all, that is a different problem.the starter has a 12v control voltage that comes from the ignition key via the ignition switch when it is rotated to start position.Check the the large wire going to the battery has 12v at the starter, then Check that there is 12v on the small wire to the starter, when the key is rotated to the start position.you will need someone to help do this, and if it is missing ,apply 12v through a 5amp fused wire and see if the starter kicks over.if the car starts, the ignition switch is bad.it is a common fault on this honda model..if you are getting just a click, even with a good battery jumped across, locate the crankshaft pulley and using a 19mm socket and long ratchet or breaker bar, make sure the engine turns over and is not siezed.

Help me with my 1993 chevy cavalier 2.2L engine. My car won't turn on when ignition switch is in the on position. When I turn it to the on position, my radio cuts on, and my air conditioner turns on,...

what do you mean by "dash lights"? how do you KNOW the pump isnt working? how do you KNOW its good? at the ignition switch the ORANGE and PINK should have power in the RUN position the BROWN and TAN/WHITE should also be HOT in the run position. There should be a red wire near the fuel pump relay, make sure its HOT when cranking. IF its HOT and the fuel pump doenst run, the pump is bad. You can also put 12V on that red wire and power the pump.

2000 Grand Voyager blowing the ignition fuse

Was the old fuel pump bad? It might be worth the cost to replace the ignition switch. The wires to the fuel pump would be a second guess if the old pump was bad and burnt the wires before the fuse went. When you eliminated the fuel pump you also eliminated the wires to the pump and it started. Then you replaced the pump, but not the wires. The ignition switch is the other end of the circuit.

Ignition switch damaged

You will need test light/probe to check what wire does what.First one wire will have permanant 12v,that is your base wire.Use that wire to test the others.the next wire to find is accesory wire, turn radio on and join to the 12v wire each wire until radio works.if when checking the starter tries to turn that is the starter wire. The 4th wire to test is ignition wire(power to coil)plug test light/probe into positive coil wire in the engine bay and it will light up when you join the right wire to your 12v power. That leaves 2 wires wich are usualy headlights dash etc.If you tag/label as you find each wires function it makes it easier to join to after maket key.To get vehicle to run join 12v to ignition/coil wire and touch starter wire to 12v until running then remove. When stopped do not leave 12v and coil/ignition wire joined as it will eventualy destroy ignition/coil.Good luck and hope it helps

Hi...
I read your problem.
Is there a few step to diagnostic or try to fix your car.

Follow this simple steps.
Inspect the RALAY " Starter relay # 47. or interchange with other one just for testing.
1- Check the Fuse " IGN E Fuse number 22 " 10amp. on under hood fuse BOX fron Neutro swicth
And power to the power to the Neutro safetly switch.
2-- Check the Fuse " CRANK fuse # 17 10amp. Under hood fuse box. 12v. from Ignition switch
3- check the fuse " IGN A fuse # 34 40 amp. under hodd fuse box. Constant 12v. to relay.
With ignition switch in ON position.
Crank Fuse only when you try to start. If no power 12v. come when trying to start.
REmove the steering column covers. to get axces to the IGNITION SWITCH.
Trying to start check if 12 v on the YELLOW wire exist. if not. Check if there a 12v on the RED wire
If not Inspect FUSE # 34.
But if there a power on the red wire But not ON yellow wire Trying to start.
Just REPLACE THE IGNITION SWITCH. Electrical part.
