A complete fill after a rebuild is 3.6 litres, for an oil and filter change 3.1.

2001 600 grizzly uses engine oil 1 quart in 20 mile ride. what do you think it might be?

You didn't say the bike was leaving a large white cloud of smoke when riding so the only other reasonable alternative is compression getting past the piston rings is forcing the tranny oil out of the crankcase breather and onto the roadway. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

How 2 check the motor oil on a royal star ventura 1999 thanks.

If you look along the riders right side of the crankcase, under the water pump with the chrome elbow...you'll see a round window with 2 marks beside it.
Warm up the engine, **** down and let the oil drain back for a couple of minutes, then either place a block under the sidestand to get the bike upright...or have an assistant raise bike from sidestand and observe oil level...about 1/2 full is best.

How do you check the engine oil level on a 1999 Yamaha 1100 V-Star Custom?

On the riders left side of engine...near the front...find the fill cap for adding oil....now look directly below and you will find a round window on the side of the crankcase down low. Usually Yamaha has two marks on the crankcase beside the window for Min and Max oil level.
Usually half way between works best.

I have a 2002 yamaha v star 1100cc.. Is there a gas light that comes on or do i just have to watch it?

If you set your fuel petcock to "on" the bike will sputter when its low and you can switch over to reserve that has about another 1/2 gallon. I just set my trip meter and get gas about every 175 miles to be safe. 2007 VSTAR 1100 Classic.
