Think you have simply frozen your piston from lack of proper fuel and 2 stroke oul mixture. Bike will move in neutral and with the clutch in, just won't kick or bumpstart ! Time for a top end rebuild my friend...good luck !

Lick the back tire?? = Lock the back tire??

Have you tried push starting it in 3rd gear?

If yes then the Engine is likely locked up and will need significant repairs.

SOURCE: i have a1987 kawasaki kx 250. it is very hard to kick

Once u have the piston out then there is a tool you can use for extracting the rings or you can simply use strips of tin and slide it behind the rings from were the two ends of the ring meet and slide them round the piston. Be very careful when putting the new rings on because ther are quite brittle

SOURCE: i have a 1996 kx 250 that will not select 4th gear

Selecter forks could be damaged, gear shift shaft bent, return spring faulty, clutch dragging maybe! Try rocking it backwards and forwards engine off and see if you can find that gear! Good Luck - The Yeti

SOURCE: i have 2003 kawasaki kx 125 when you put it in

Hi cbloom,
You will have to probabley adjust the clutch either from the end of the cable at the side cover or from the above at the handle lever.

Good Luck .

Can you kick the engine over freely if it's in neutral? If yes, then it is a clutch issue. If no, then your engine may be locked up/damaged.

I have a 08 kx 450f I went for a ride the other day got down the road and it's stalled tried to kick it over and the kick start was abit stiff then I noticed there was no oil in it... Got it home put oil...

Hi, Anonymous if you were running with no oil I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem. My bike starts with kick stand down-safety feature malfunctioning / i unplug the kickstand switch connected the end of the plug with a wire so that i have closed circuit and the problem still exists even...

Hi, Nunjazx12 the ignition circuit cut-off system comprising of the side stand switch, clutch switch and neutral switch has the following functions:
a. It prevents starting when the transmission is in gear and the side stand is up, but the clutch lever is not pulled.
b. It prevents starting when the transmission is in gear and the clutch lever is pulled, but the side stand is still down.
c. It cuts the running engine when the transmission is in gear and the side stand is moved down.
Periodically check the operation of the ignition circuit cut-off system according to the following tests.
With the engine turned off:
1. Move the side stand down.
2. Make sure that the engine stop switch is set to "RUN"
3. Turn the key to "ON".
4. Shift the transmission into the neutral position.
5. Push the start switch if the engine does not start the neutral switch may be faulty.
With the engine still running:
6. Move the side stand up.
7. Keep the clutch lever pulled.
8. Shift the transmission into gear.
9. Move the side stand down if the engine does not stall you may have a faulty side stand switch.
After the engine has stalled:
10. Move the side stand up.
11. Keep the clutch lever pulled.
12. Push the start switch if the engine does not start you may have a faulty clutch switch.
This check is most reliable if performed with a warmed-up engine.

My kx 125 was going well then lost power and now can not move kick start at all . how do i tell if the engine is siezed

sounds like it seized! if the kick starter wont go down. take the spark plug out, pour some thin oil down the hole, let it soak overnight, then try moving the kick starter again.

if your talking about the kick starter lever it sounds like your rebound spring broke on the gear. and you will have to remove the cover to get to it to replace it.
