Try TPS. Throttle positioning Sensor. This sets base idle. (Unless this model is too old for that sensor)

My e series 142 spins the chain and idles insanely fast when I have the choke pulled out. Then when I give it throttle it calms down and then I can barely keep it idling. with throttle all the way pulled...

Check air filter- clean or replace, Make sure you have fresh fuel, A new spark while you are giving it a service, Do you know how to tune the saw? Start with basic settings 1 turn on the low and 1 turn on the high And adjust from there, You might have turned the idle up too high. The choke should always be fully in when saw is running. Hope this is a good start

Motor wont stay idle need to keep pumping gas pedal to keep motor running.

If it smoothly idles down to shut off it could be the throttle stop screw needs to be ran out a little. If it runs rough it could be a stuck float or needle Lots of times a good soak and cleaning will fix a problem. don't use ethanol gas without some sort of conditioner.

Bad gas millage

Some depends on what kind of tires you have and air pressure. The traction rating of a tire mean how soft it is and how well it grabs the road, so a all season that has a high traction will use more gas, it also follows the line of tread wear, the more a tire can handle tread wear means the harder it is and doesn't wear like a soft tire.

So depending on where you live and what you have for conditions, you could go with a tire that will give you better gas mileage.

Next you want to use a very good fuel injector cleaner like redline or lucas, and you want use it around every 6000.
The injectors function to mist fuel is a important for combustion.

About that time I would clean the air filter.

You can also see what oil is recommended, go with a thinner grade in a synthetic blend for older car. If you want to get real picky.
But synthetic oil needs to be changed less and is the best oil there is for wear.

New spark plugs, Bosch Platinum plus if they have one for your engine.

Last, you can get a front end alignment, if your on a flat road and the car doesn't stay totally straight, that is added drag from tires.

My truck wont start unless i prime the carborator first, then it wont stay running unless i rev it high just before i put it in gear, or im accellerating...

To start with, you have a throttle body instead of a carburetor.
On that throttle body is a component called an air control valve.
That valve is how the computer controls the idle speed. It should open and close the air flow into the intake manifold as needed.
Is the check engine light on when you are driving ? Have you checked the fuel pressure ?

I have a 202 GSX1300R and it won't idle.

Is the engine running at high idle or are you having to hold the throttle open to keep it running? If it stays at high idle on it's own be sure that when you push the choke back to the "off" position, check your linkages and be sure that the choke cam is returning to the low idle position, also be certain that your throttle grip operates without obstruction when returning to idle position. If you are having to hold the throttle open to keep the engine running you are probably going to find carburetor issues. Hope this help to get you looking in the right direction.

My polaris280 runs in circles and the tail does not want to stay behind the polaris

there are several things that may cause the unit to run in circles. #1 never roll the hose when the unit is out of the water. Infact every year you should remove the entire unit from the pool and lay the hoses straight on the deck in the warm sun light. 1 to 3 days is usually enough use rocks if you need to in order to force th hose to stay straight. the hoses have memory and when you roll them up and lay them outside the pool this starts the problem. you also need to see if all three wheels turn in sequence. you can grab ahold of the single wheel on the left side and be sure it spins forward and backward without resistance. additonally the right front wheel should spin at the same time. there is a gear that runs between both front wheels and when the booster pump runs the gears spin and turn the front wheels. the back wheel turns from the tension placed on it by the small wheel between the two tires on the right side. over time the metal gears can wear out the plastic grooves inside the large wheels. if there is too much wear on one of the wheels you can remove one of the front tires and swap it with the back tire since it does not need the gear or grooves to turn. another issue is the directional jet located under the fitting the whip hose attaches. this uses the water pressure to direct the unit in different directions if the nipple is pointed to 12 noon this causes the unit to climb more 6 am will limit the climbing the urge. when pointed to the left it cause the unit to vere to the right and vice verse. 808-871-POOL

Homelite gas trimmer will not run without half choke and throttle

You need to disassemble the carb. and spray with carb. cleaner. If you need tips on how to do this, just let me know. You may need a new carb. kit as well, but we won't know that until you first perform the first step, or if the carb. parts are more than 3 years old. If they are, then go ahead and buy the carb. kit and replace the parts.
