You have not provided the year of your motorcycle so here is the directions for a 2006 Harley-Davidson Touring Bike. If you need advice as to how to change a belt on a different model year post again with the model year and ask again. If you need directions on how to remove the rear/replace any or all of the rear wheel or the swing arm or the primary case or the starter or the front or rear drive sprockets or etc etc post another request and if I see it I will respond to it.

2006 TOURING DRIVE BELT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Remove the rear wheel and the rear swingarm and then the primary chain case assembly and then the old belt from the transmission sprocket and then install the new belt on the transmission sprocket and re-install the primary case assembly, the rear swingarm assembly and the rear wheel.

I have a 18.5 Briggs Model #42A707. I am continuously breaking the starter sprocket. The last sprocket was a Briggs sprocket

If you are talking about the sprocket on the starter there is no cheap way to fix it that I know of. I've had the same problem on my 18 H.P. B&S motor on my craftsmen mower. The sprocket is a composit material and the flywheel is aluminum. I was replacing the sprocket about three times a year.I finally had a friend of mine who has a machine shop make me one out of aluminum and that fixed it.
I think this is just another case of planned obsolesence as a lot of people won't realize that the sprockket can be changed andwill buy a complete starter ***'y or take it to repair shop..
The only thing I can suggest is that you keep it tuned on a regular basis and not run the starter any longer then is absolutly needed. One other thing I have done for years on all my equipment is to run a small amount of Sea Foam in the gas at every fill.I use4-6 ounces and it really helps keep the motor clean and starting easier. Thankyou You can purchase sea foam at most auto parts stores and it can be used in the oil also. Good luck.

2001 Dodge Intepid relaced timing system & heads, only two cyliders are injecting fuel, seems different cylinders every starting attempt

check the timing slots on your left(driver's)side camshaft timing sprocket..compare new sprocket slots to old gear..i bet you have a newer gear on engine now..different timing slot arrangement..your controller will not recognize these slots..they changed in 2002 model year to a different engine controller..you will need sprocket for your model year vehicle..i hope this helps

Gs 700 engine screaming at highway speed

cheapest way to lower the rpm is to replace the front sprocket to a larger size, or if easier for you a smaller rear sprocket. you will loose torque at take offs in first gear. also, do some math before you buy a sprocket, front you will need at least 2 more teeth to notice a difference, where at the back it would be like 8 less. see whats available. for harleys there are all kinds of sizes available, for your year im not sure but look around.
