Some idiot ran different wiring harnessess at different points so I'm tryin to pu it all back. stuck on the rear wires and which go to what need wiring schematics for RVT100 and VTR 1000. My bike is a RVT...

Best advice I can give is this, pick one, perferably the RVT 100, as this is your bike, and go over ALL the wiring on your bike, and make it match the schematics from the manual. This is the only 100% way to know for sure that it is done right.

It sounds like the clutch needs adjusting. If you don't know how to do it, refer the bike to a Honda Dealer for adjustment.

Battery turns engine over, but doesn't fire... sparks and plug. o.k. then floods carburetor and plug

Sounds like a float sticking in your carburator, this will allow it to keep accepting fuel, overflowing the bowl.
