SOURCE: i have just brought a new cdi for my 50cc scooter

ISorry m8, no scooter expert but ive changed a couple of CDIs on Italian Scooters and they are a simple plug-in as on any size bike. They are usually found down near the battery, just unplug the old one and pop the new one in, there should be a retainer or something to stop it rattling round.
Sorry i can't be more use.

SOURCE: I have a yamaha neos 50cc i havent used it for a

If you haven't used it for a year, I'd drain the gas and replace with fresh. Also since you found some dirt in the jet, I'd throughly clean the entire fuel delivery system, from the tank to the carb,,inline filter replace etc. Take the carb apart and soak in carb cleaner, then blow out, blow jets as well, and it wouldn't hurt to replace the needle valve seat. Next, make sure you are getting good spark. If you have the proper fuel/air mix and spark properly timed, your engine should start right up! Good Luck, Hope this helps!

Hi I own a Yamaha neos 4 and I am wondering if I change the Cdi to a Yamaha vitty 125 CDi will my bike work and run faster ?

Hi, Cameran I seriously doubt it CDI is for spark only a four cycle engine is nothing more than a mechanical air box it sucks in air/fuel and expels it as burnt exhaust the more air/fuel you can stuff in the engine and the faster you can expel it the more power and speed you can make start with a more free flowing air cleaner like a K&N and the same with an exhaust system like Yasuni or a big bore kit for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem. Yamaha Neos will not turn over

Hi, Anonymous before testing any electrical component in the Starting System it is "IMPERATIVE" that you have a fully charged battery of 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage, the battery is faulty and must be replaced. AGM type batteries fall into this scenario more so than lead acid batteries.
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter.
4. Bank angle sensor needs a reset or is faulty.
5. FOB battery low or dead.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Faulty starter button.
8. Faulty kickstand, clutch, neutral safety switch.
9. Security alarm needs a reset.
10. Starter relay, solenoid, starter motor or circuit wiring faulty.
11. Starter armature or field coils have failed.
12. Main fuse or circuit breaker may be blown or faulty.
13. Faulty ignition relay.
14. The electric starter is working but starter clutch has failed.
15. Check for engine trouble codes.

Hi, Anonymous for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Yamaha, despair not, for a mere zero $0 you can download another one.
