Yz wont start

All engines need three things, fuel, spark and compression.
What I do is first be sure, be positive, I have fresh fuel, and spark plug is clean, while the plug is out, spin the engine over for 10-15 seconds to clear the cylinder. I made a nifty spark checker out of a spark plug clamped with a hose clamp to an alligator clamp from an old battery charger, or like one on jumper cables. Clamp it firmly to the engine, attach spark lead and spin the engine, see if you have a steady blue spark. That being OK, put plug back in, choke off, ignition on spray a little starter fluid directly into the carb/air cleaner, and try to start, if it starts even for just a little the problem is with your fuel system. If it does nothing your spark isn't holding up or out of time, OR somethings wrong inside, and a compression check is in order.
Give this much a try and write back with more details, and best of luck.

How do I unflood a 1996 virago

It should evaporate on it's own in about a day.

If you don't want to wait, remove the spark plugs, and spin the motor with the electric starter, and everything will blow out the spark plug holes.

2004 crf230f will not start.

A common problem is hydraulic locking. This occurs when fuel leaks into the cylinder preventing the piston from rising in the cylinder. Pull the spark plug, cover loosely with a shop rag and WITH IGNITION OFF (some bikes starter will spin with the kill switch in the off position, if yours is one of them, keep the kill switch in the off position when spinning motor to clear the cylinder, otherwise, spin the motor by placing the bike in gear and rolling forward). Careful! if it is indeed hydraulic lock, gas will spew out of the spark plug hole creating a fire hazard. Once you have cleaned up and aired out the cylinder, clip the spark plug lead back on the plug without installing it in the motor. See if it spins. If engine does not spin with plug removed, ensure that engine is not locked up by some other means. (seized piston, broken connecting rod, etc.) If all works OK, replace plug and fire it up.

sounds like your cdi has gone down or your battery doesn't have enough charge to spin the motor and produce a spark

Weak ignition spark

Make sure battery is up at least 11 - 11.5 volts
A low battery will spin over and sound like it should when cranking sometimes, but the starter will rob spark from the ignition and not fire due to low voltage
