Need to get pulled out and there should be a drain hose under the air filter is a plug at the end of the hose pull out the plug. That would be a start. If water got in the carb, you might have to take out a plug at the bottom to drain also. Check inside airfilter to make sure it is dry. Hope this helped!

Moto4 wheeler

It has a spring loaded decomp level that holds the exhaust valve open slighly for 1 revolution only. You flip up the lever & you get 1 pull on the crank. If it doesn't start , You repeat the process. If no compression, The lever is stuck OR you have a Top End problem, like bent valves or worn out rings or hole in the piston.

My Yamaha 225 moto4 starts but can not get better than an idle to happen then stalls.

How long was the moto4 sitting? and did you pay close attention to the low speed jet that it is not blocked, the most common problem is the carb if the unit has been sitting for long period of time and the small jet will be blocked so you need to make sure its clear.

My yamaha moto 4 quad 350 when throttled jt won"t stop reving. the carby has just been cleaned because the bike has been sitting for a while

There could be a couple things

1. The throttle cables may be adjusted way and I mean Way to tight (not likely)
2. there is a possiblity the tech put the jets in wrong as the main jet and pilot jet look alot alike on that machine. Only difference is the hole size in the middle of them ( I have done that, thats how I know this)
3 Could be sucking air ( the most likely) from either the intake or the diaphram on the carb. Start the motor and have a can of spray carb cleaner ready to spray and spray the outside of intake and carb if the motor speed changes then it is sucking air.

I have aN ATV Yamaha Raptor 660, the positive terminal on the battery is looase and bolt is stripped. he quad will only start if i hold pressure down on the battery terminal. Is it ok to ride it once i...

Just replace it with a nut and bolt that is smaller then the hole,
this way you can put the bolt through the holder and tighten down the bolt which will hold the connector onto the post.

You can clean the terminals with baking soda and water, then cover
with petroleum jelly to keep them corrosion free.

There is actually a compound for this but the jelly is almost as good.
