Clean your carburator, and if possible do a compression check, how longs it been since you replaced rings and piston.

What number plug should I be running in my 2002 125 rm suzuki

I would use a NGK Platinum Plug (R6918B-8 or BR8EIX/BR9EIX) and try to cut back a little on the oil mixture to gas ratio or adjust the gap a little hotter.

My 2003 Suzuki rm 125 kick starts with brand new spark plug then eventually bogs down and dies, does the same when push started, does it need new piston and rings?

HI,,sounds like your plug is fouling,,what pre-mix ratio are you running? and has the carb been played with? run 32-1 premix and remove and clean the carb.

piston and rings are not to blame for this behaviour.

I was ridding my 84 Yamaha yz125 and it was running fine then it quite like it ran out of gas. I took the carb apart blew it out. Checked the fuel lines, it has fuel in the tank (clean). When I went to...

Sounds like it could be as simple as a fouled plug. Change the spark plug and try it again. Lugging a 125 around fouls plugs really easily, you have to open it up and clean it out occasionally.

Suzuki gp 125 1981 dont want to start

Make sure you have ignition spark and just wer yhe tip of the plug with gas. Puttting gas in the cylinder is too rich and will add to you problem. Good Luck

Hi i got a rm 125 06 the bike starts and rans but it wont power band at all wat could it be

First check the exhaust and air box are in good condition no holes or cracks ,as either will ruin the fuel mixture especially on a 2 stroke . all so try a new plug as this can foul up and is a cheap starting point. Put fresh fuel in and drain carb if req. Also check air filter is clean and set fuel mixture properly, cleaning the carb or injection nosel may help. If a power valve is fitted check it is moving ,remove valve cover and exhaust at the barrel then pull the cable the valve must compleatly expose the exhaust port at fully open. Finally if this does not work the piston or bore may be worn very common on 2 strokes ,look down the exhaust port and look for scores down the barrel.and replace if worn.

moisture in your coil???...if you are electrically minded you will be able to check the ignition system out. But then again it may just be your plug check it isn't fouling...

Bike bogged down like plug fouled now wont start

Based on the information given, I think you may have a hole in the top of the piston. It sounds like pre-ignition, ( AKA detonation and engine knock ). Pull the cylinder head and check the piston and cylinder head. Sometimes the top outer edge of the piston disintegrates due to the heat. Replace the piston and rings and remove the carbon from the head. Be sure you run 32/1 mix on gas and oil. That's 4oz two stroke oil per gallon of gas. Only use premium gas.

Remove and clean the carb. Be sure the carb mount bolts and carb manifold bolts are tight. An air leak will cause the engine to run hot.

Please rate this solution. Thanks

Scatter gun approach > thoughts to check out > > >
Clean and dry the air filter? Go back to a stock main jet, at least to check things out? Are "O" ring seals on the main jet going bad?Partial internal collapse in exhaust (remove exhaust pipe & do a quick run down the alley), Install a new stock NGK spark plug, Be sure battery connections are clean and tight, Be sure intake manifold and carb are good and tight.

Hope this helps!
