do a tune up misfiring is not running ok --carb needs to be cleaned rebuilt or replaced and tune up done ---or possible bad gas---when engaging blaes puts load on engine and if not running correctly will stall

Misfires when warm


Check the spark on all cylinders with a spark tester to see if all have spark. If good spark on all do a compression test to see if there is a problem with one of the cylinders, i.e. burned/bent valves, hole in piston.

350 chevy misfiring


check the ht wires for a crossed set check the firing order as there are two wires that out of sequence will cause this problem. To check firing sequence go to google and type in firing order for chev/gm 350 engine and it will give all the details.

I have a 98 GMC serria 350 Vortec I had engine rebuilt. I didn't have a misfire before I had it rebuilt but now I do. I replaced ICM ,Coil , Pickup coil ,sparkplugs, sparkplug wires, cap & rotor had it...


There's a lot of things, or combination of things, that could be causing the problem but you could have valves that are adjusted just a little to tight which can cause a misfire as the engine warms up. Other things that come to mind are vacuum leaks, fuel pressure regulator leak, or an injector problem. Don't have a silver bullet for you but that's where I'd start my search. '87 dodge raider wont ilde.


My 88 raider did the same thing. As long as I had my foot on the gas pedal it would run but if I lifted off the gas it would die. It ended up being a vacuum line. I can't remember which one (possibly the AAP) but not sure. I did replace the AAP diaphragm and all of my vacuum lines.

It does not sound like a timing issue because it only misfires when hot... sounds like choke adjustment ... if its elec... rotate cover of choke so it is leaner. Hope this helps
