Always provide the year of the bike please.

There is no inline battery fuse as such BUT there is a 40 amp main fuse.

Checked fuse keeps blown turn brake light and spedomter not working

Hi Anonymous, if your instrument and or lite circut fuses keeps blowing when you turn the ignition switch on then you have a dead short in one of these circuits. Go to they have a wiring driagram for a 2001 FLHTC you can download for free, it should be close enough to use on your 2003. Get out your test lite out and start checking wires, connector blocks, connector pins in the light circuit. Connect the test lite to battery positive and starting from the fuse panel work you way foward by stabing the power wires until the test lite stops lighting, and bingo you are very close to the short, repair as necessary. Good luck

Battery inline fuse

There are fusible links that are located by the starter. To check them probe on the back side of them, you should have 12 volts (or what the battery reads). anything less is a bad link. They look like thick wires with shrink wrap on them.

How can I replace the circuit breaker on my 2002 FLHTCU with a 40 amp fuse. The breaker is affected by its location right over the rear cylinder and on hot days when the oil temp goes over 230 the breaker...

Why don't you simply reposition the circuit breaker? You can replace the circuit breaker with a fuse if you wish but do not go up on the rating. Right off hand, I don't remember the rating on your circuit breaker. But, it it's rated at 40 amps, do not replace it with a 45 or higher rated fuse. The reason is that the circuit breaker is there to protect your wiring harness. If you go up on the rating of the fuse, it allows too much current to flow and your wiring harness is in danger then. Got to almost any automotive parts house and you can buy an inline fuse holder. I'd get one of those Maxi fuse holders, not the little minifuse holders of the glass tube type fuses.

Good Luck

When i hook up my 750 watt inverter to my truck do i need to install a isolator or inline fuse? or just connect the 4 gauge battery cables directly to the battery and the inverter?

Yes, inline fuse as close to the battery as possible. If 4 gauge wire were to ground out without fuse, would most likely start a fire or at least damage other existing harnesses (depending on routing) before a person could disconnect battery.
