To remove a 2008 Softail rear wheel FIRST block motorcycle underneath the frame so that theweight of the motorcycle is off of the rear wheel, remove saddlebags if equipped, remove the belt guard and the debris deflector from the rear fork, inspect the wheel bearing end play and service the bearings if and as necessary, label the wheel spacers for left or right locationand orientation i.e. fork side or wheel side, remove the rear brake caliper from the caliper mount and support it using an elastic cord or such,For the FXCW/C modelsthe nut retainer will remain in the axle nut and does not need to be removed and if it is removed it must be replaced. For all but FXCW/C remove e-clip, remove the rear axle nut, and for FXCW/C remove the rear axle nut, loosen both axle adjuster screws an equal number of turns to remove tension from drive belt, with a suitable drift or other tool tap the axle towards the right side and remove it, remove the spacers and the caliper mounting bracket, move the wheel forward and slip the belt off of the sprocket, raise the motorcycle to allow enough clearance for removal of the rear wheel and pull the wheel with the belt sprocket from the rear fork.

To install a 2008 Softail rear wheel FIRST apply a light coat of wheel bearing grease to the axle, to the bearing bores and to the bore of the inner sleeve, roll the wheel into place in the rear fork and slide the drive belt over the drive sprocket, position the left bearing spacer between the wheel and the fork, from the right side carefully insert the axle (with its washer for FXCW/C models) through the right rear fork, the short spacer, the rear caliper mounting bracket, the long spacer and into the bearing bore, continue sliding the axle through the wheel hub sleeve, the left side spacer and the left rear of the fork, install the washer, the axle nut, and the retainer, verify correct axle alignment and the check belt deflection, check the wheel bearing end play after tightening the axle nut to the specified torque because excessive end play can adversely affect stability and handling and insufficient end play can cause bearing seizure, tighten the axle nut to 95-105 ft-lbs (128.8-142.5 Nm), install the belt guard and the debris deflector, install the brake caliper and pads, install the saddlebags, if equipped, pump the brake pedal to move the pistons out until they contact both brake pads, verify the piston location against pads, verify the position of the brake pads against the brake disc, rotate the wheel to check for any interference(s) or misalignment(s) and test the brakes for proper operation.

SOURCE: Harley wheels

Don't think so. Sportster and Dyna wheels interchange, depending on the year. Check with dealer for the Sporty/Dyna wheels that will fit.

2008 ford escape. removal of rear bumper cover

Pop the Hatchback open and remove the connectors
from the top of the bumper cover.

Optional Step: Using a Floor Jack, raise both sides
of the car in the back, supporting both sides with
jack stands, and remove the rear wheels.

Using Torx Bits, remove the inner rear wheel well
lining.

Get behind the rear wheel well and loosen the bolts
holding the bumper brackets on. They're pretty
difficult to find and remove. Be Patient. Do the
same to the other side.

Remove the rear bumper cover by pulling the cover
outward from the part nearest the wheel on both
sides. Once removed, take off the 2 black mounting
brackets from the bumper cover.

Good Luck

Removal of rear wheel bearings on my 2005 harley fatboy

Purchase your own Harley Davidson Wheel Bearing Replacement Tool. It takes it of and secures the new one flat. Always remember to reinsert the spacer between the new bearings. I purchased my HD Tool on E-Bay for 65.00. I will post a video so you can see how easy it is. This is the same video I viewed before I did mine. Good luck...

On the 1999/2000 Fatboy you have to remove the rear wheel and the rear fender inner panel as the circuit breaker is located behind the rear inner panel.

Doesn't the Fatboy from wheel have only ONE disc?

So once you bolt the rear disc on, where are you going to bolt the belt drive pulley on the other side?

Remove transmission

Before removing old transmission, check that rear belt/chain is running true.
Install new transmission in frame, and sight down rear chain/belt sprocket/pulley.
When you THINK you have it, tighten down transmission, and lift rear wheel off the ground.
With belt/chain installed, turn rear wheel in direction of travel.
Have rear chain guard/belt guard removed, for better visibility.
With a belt, you'll want the belt to stay centered on the pulley.
A chain, you can see if it "pulls off" to one side.
Play with the alignment until it's right.
After primary is assembled, you "might" have to loosen engine mounts and shift it a little to line up to transmission.

I have fxr 1993 and i need to now if i can

Seems to me that you '93 model bike had axles that are 3/4 inch in diameter. The 2000 and later bikes went to a 1 inch axle. This would mean that you would have to machine your swingarm for the larger axle and I don't think there is enough "meat" in that area to do this safely. If he '05 wheel comes with the rear pulley, it too will be useless as the belt was narrower. You may can change the front pulley to match it but that's a LOT of work. Why don't you try to find a rear wheel off of a '90's model Fatboy?
