What size allen wrench do I need to remove the front brake calipers

I'm not sure of the size. I have an allen socket made for GM brake calipers!! But i would guess it is a metric size, maybe a 12 mm. Call an auto parts store and they can pull the tool and tell you with a phone call. Good luck.

Wrench size front brake calipers

Hi Anonymous, you are better off using 12 point sockets, if you are going to work on your own bike you have to have basic hand tools. The first and very best tool you will ever buy for your motorcycle should be a factory service manual. It will pay for itself the very first time you use it. Can u tell me what size socket to use to remove brake caliper pad pins on a 2002 harley road king?

Those pad pin bolts will need a 12 point socket to begin with and if memory serves me correctly the size is actually 1/4", just remember that the socket has to be a 12 point socket. Good luck

What size allen wrench to remove front brake caliper

i just changed my front rotors and pads on my 2001 escape, 6 cylinder. everyone was wrong on the wrench sizes, including the idiots at my local ford dealer. to get the brake calipers off I needed a 7mm hex bit. to get the caliper bracket off I needed an 18mm socket, it was a very easy job but check your wrench sizes first, it seems that every year and model uses different sizes.

What size socket do I need to change the oil and brakes.

The oil drain plug is a 13 mm. The tools for the brakes, a 10 mm socket for the caliper pins, a flat head screwdriver, or a meduim size prybat to get the calipers out of the mounting bracket, and a 4" C-clamp to compress the pistons into the calipers so you can put the new pads on.
