Direction to loosen and remove two bolts from dog bone

Sure, here are the directions to loosen and remove two bolts from a dog bone:
  1. Locate the two bolts. The two bolts that hold the dog bone in place are usually located on the bottom of the dog bone. They are typically hex bolts, but they may also be Torx bolts.
  2. Get the proper tools. You will need a wrench or socket wrench that fits the bolts on the dog bone. You may also need a breaker bar if the bolts are difficult to loosen.
  3. Loosen the bolts. Start by loosening the bolts by hand. Once the bolts are loose, you can use the wrench or socket wrench to remove them completely.
  4. Remove the dog bone. Once the bolts are removed, you can remove the dog bone from the vehicle.
  5. Install the new dog bone. If you are installing a new dog bone, follow the instructions that came with the new dog bone.
  6. Tighten the bolts. Once the new dog bone is in place, tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
Here are some safety tips to keep in mind when loosening and removing two bolts from a dog bone:
  • Make sure that the vehicle is in park or neutral and the parking brake is set before you start working.
  • Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes from flying debris.
  • Use the correct tools for the job. Using the wrong tools can damage the bolts or the dog bone.
  • Be careful not to overtighten the bolts. Overtightening the bolts can damage the dog bone or the vehicle.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Dog bone location

Remove the top dog bone & either pull the motor
toward the front or radiator & block it, or go to amazon
& buy the tool that bolts into the dog bone mount & screws
closed, bringing the motor forward

You could make up something if time isn't an issue

Dog bone location 2005 grand am gt

Depending on the engine, some have a mount on top of the radiator.
Its called a dog bone because it is a metal strip with a rubber piece in each end, like a bone. One end bolts to the radiator support, the other bolts to a bracket on top of the engine.
If it has one, you set the brake, put the trans in neutral, unbolt one end and pull the engine forward. Some mounts have a secondary hole to put the bolt in to hold the engine forward.
You can look up "motor mounts - struts" at the online auto parts stores for photos.

I have 1994 saturn sl i found a motor mount on the bottom of the engine no bolt in it it looks like a dog bone i think it is missing a mount i would like a picture where it mount on the motor thank you...

There is a dog bone mount at each end of the engine. If it is on the bottom of the engine, something is totally out of whack. The bottom mount is under the transmission and does not look like a dog bone. I am assuming you must be writing the about passenger side, where the serpentine belt is. Remove the right front wheel, put the car on jack stand and remove the plastic service panel behind the wheel. The bolt hole where the dog bone bolt goes will be evident, or there will be a broken bolt. If the dog bones have not ever been changed this would be a time to do that and maybe the belt tensioner too. The other one is under the battery tray, both are fairly easy to replace, assuming you do not bust a bolt off.

What is the dog bone

It's an engine mount. Usually it will be one at top/front engine and one onside /bottom engine. They are easily replaced, just be sure to take the weight off the mounts with a jack.

Need motor mounts for 2004 Chrysler Pacifica

I'm thinking it has 1 motor mount and 2 dog bones. The mounts usually cost around $30 each and the dog bones $20-25 depending on the material their made of. You can replace these yourself, one at a time. The engine has to be jacked up just enough to take the weight off when you remove the mount. After you have it remove, install you new one/ones and tighten. After removing jack, torque the bolts to spec. Same thing is done with the dog bones. It a type of Motor mount that prevents the engine from leaning weight. These are usually located, one front/top engine area and one on bottom engine area.
