Question about 2002 Honda VT 1100 C Shadow Spirit

2 Answers

2000 honda shadow sabre shock adjusted too far.

I meant to adjust my rear shocks up to position 5 for 2 up ride. Went to far and the mid section of the shock collapsed. It seems to maintain resistance, but far less. I cant move the adjustment at all, and I dont want to attempt taking it apart without more advice. I can also hear a slight liquid slurp when I push down on it (i took it off for inspection). Help! Ugh, I have enough maintenance on my 77, now this?

Over adjusted shocks, how do I fix?

Hello Kim, If you went past position 5 on the adjustment, you will need to lift the bike up & get all the weight off the wheel. If that is not enough to move the adjustment back, you may need to compress the shock a little to break it free.
I hope this information is helpful.

How do i adjust the shocks on a 93 honda shadow vt1100

if it is adjustable, then on the shock should be a 5 step ring that can be turned, see if current position is on 2 or 3.Normally when turning counter-clock wise will be much softer or harder the other way. just try it.

I would like to know how to lower my honda shadow aero 1100

When lowering bikes, we usually lessen or cut the shock absorbers (front and back).

Accessory places have lowering blocks, they are just a small metal accessory that move the bottom of the rear shocks to the rear and down, I think you get 1.5 inches from them. Then you need to cut or get shorter springs in the front, either will probably make the ride stiffer in the front.

Rear shock is ajustable 1 thru 5. I turned the shock to far past the #5 setting and it has dropped down. It seems locked in this spot. Help!

You are going to have to lift the bike and get all pressure off of the rear shock completely. At that time you will be able to adjust the setting. You may need to compress the shock alittle bit to get it to break free
