I got a Tory Bilt weed eater the Model-TB2OCS and I just put in new fuel linds and a new fuelter.

Verify that the new gas lines are on the carb correctly and the bulb is holding gas. If that is ok then the carb is needing to be rebuilt because one of the jets is plugged up or both. If you pour gas in the carb and it starts and runs for a short time then the carb is probably the problem. You can buy a rebuilt kit for them cheap.

Why does a flame come out of the carburetor when I try to start it

Hard to answer this not enough thing I can say is your carb the is flooding the cylinder with excess gas..and when the spark ignites it is sending the burning gas back into the intake and back through the carb where the air gas mixture comes in...timing could be a problem where the intake valve is still open on the fireing stroke..another could be the internal float stuck in the carb...this allows gas to leak back into the cylinders and intake manifold..before doing anything..need to check a few things out..some of these newer carbs have an electric valve on the bottom of the carb. Is there to keep the gas from leaking out on the ground when the float is stuck..however it does allow the gas to leak back and into your engine..and cylinder..and when you try and start it will throw flames back through the carb...but it also may fill you engine crankcase with gas...and damaging the engine sofirst thing check your oil for gas smell and on the stick..drain it if it does..pull your plug and cover the end so it can't spark..and turn the motor over if the cylinders have gas they will Blow it out.."" The reason to cover the sparkplug end" .

NOTE....this is an ongoing problem with this engine type so after you follow the ustructions,,,if not already on the gas line get a inline gas shut off valve and put it on the gas line and make sure it is OFF when you are done mowing or when the engine us not running..This will happen again if not done...change the filter and oil and you are good to go..By the way I know this fro my own experience with these new carp leak protectors..pass the word....if this is not the problem carb will need to be rebuilt..or renewed.....good luck.

2002suzuki vl800 float level spacs.any one?

6.5 - 7.5mm 0.26" - 0.30" Hold the carb body at 45 degrees to the table top with the float arm just contacting the needle valve. The float tang for adjusting is the small metal plate attached to the float.
If you are going to be working on it much get a Clymer Manual.

Is the carb flooding?is there black smoke coming from exhaust when running, if so it could be the carb over filling with fuel. Is there petrol leaking out of the carb? If not check the fuel pipe is in good condition

1994 FXDL Harley plugs keep fouling gas smell strong

It appears that you have what we used to call a bleeder. Where the carburetor leaks gas into the manifold past the jets. I have found instances of this in the 2nd market carburetors especially. It is possible the carb may need rebuilt and gas is leaking past the needle on the float. If not then I would recommend replacing the carb. I have always had excellant results from Mikuni on these big bikes.

1981 suzuki gs550l wont start, rebuilt carbs, new plugs, new bat

did you adjust the iddle screws? Those black plugs need to be installed. Those carbs pull all gas threw the main jets. If you remove the black plug and look closely you will see a small tunnel going from that tube to the main jet tub. The fuel gets pulled threw that tiny hole from the main tube. (This also puzzled me the first time I saw one, don't worry, that was the first thing I thought of doing also, but since then, I have found tons of bikes and boats like this) I found mine runs best on 2-1/2 turns on the idle screws. Also try sincronizing you carbs, the cheep way to do this is by blocking them open slightly and checking the butterflies with a feeler gauge to see if they all open the same amount. I also found that sometimes it could be as simple as the choke slide not returning completely back to the proper position, this will cause the diaphrams to not operate properly. Good luck and hope I helped a little.

Good charge on battery, new gas, starts but then floods out

check the float levels. even a rebuilt carb can have a defect. i have seen float levels off even on new carurators. make sure all is set properly. as far as oil, im not sure what ur seeing unless its dicinegrating the carbon from the intake and running into the air box...

Rebuilt carbs. flooding rear cylinder

well your deffinately flooding if it had no problems like this before the rebuild then i would say its the needle on the float not closing all the way try takinf the carb off and take the bowl off leaving the float on and hook up the feul line and push the float up if its leaking you have a bad needle. if its not leaking then your problem may be the spark to the cylinder
